In the early 90s, 27-year-old Adam Avery had a quarter-life crisis. He didn’t know what he wanted to do professionally, but he knew he loved homebrewing. Dodging law school, true passion took the reigns and Adam started to imagine a bigger, better vision for his beer. In 1993, with the encouragement of friends and family, Adam and his father Larry brought his dream of Avery Brewing Company to life. Thankfully (for our sake and for Larry’s), Adam’s incredible talent for brewing led to undeniably delicious and unique brews.
While the current scope of Avery Brewing Company’s operation bears little resemblance to our humble beginnings some 26 years ago, our tireless quest for perfection remains the same. Our standout beers include the award winning White Rascal Belgian-Style White Ale, Maharaja Imperial IPA, and a nationally acclaimed barrel-aging program.
